Mackenzie Sunday Wins Goldwater
Mackenzie Sunday has won a prestigious Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship to conduct research in the Visual Cognition Lab, one of only two awarded to students at the University of South Carolina. The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program is a highly competitive national program that was established by the United Stated Congress in 1986 to provide a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. Mackenzie has been conducting research as a member of the Visual Cognition Lab for the last two years and is majoring in Neuroscience and Chemistry, and is currently collecting data for her honors thesis. She intends to pursue a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience and eventually a career as a university professor. Congratulations Mackenzie!
